[Video - Friday morning 12/6]

[Sakura hits the journals up in the morning, relatively early; she's in a cheerful, energetic mood this morning, and feels the need to do some playing today.]

So! We got all that snow yesterday. I think it's time to have a little fun!

What does everyone think of a grand mass snowball fight? I'm talking ninja-style, very few holds barred, get 'em however you can! [Pause.] Try to avoid actually causing serious bodily harm, though. The point is to have fun. But other than that, go for it!

The whole village is fair game, but let's at least get started... hm, just to the south, I think. Plenty of space for fun, and we can spread from there!


[Action - Same day, all day]

[Sakura's out there, wrapped up warm and ready for action. It's a beautiful day for shenanigans and she's got more than a few in mind!]

There's only one rule. Make me do any actual work, and I will destroy you! [Translation: hurt someone and she'll hurt you.

She may also be starting some snow fortifications. Nothing like having the upper hand!]

[Maybe he does have the advantage at close range, but she has one advantage he doesn't. As soon as she's hidden enough behind the tree, she just bends down and starts scooping snow into one of her scrolls.

Wait for it, wait for it...

Then she jumps into the air at the sound of his footsteps; not as high as she'd like, what with her Chakra not as strong as usual, but still high enough to unfurl the snow and release its entire pile down toward Neji.]

Falling Snow Dragon!

[Or something.]

[That's a dragon? As soon as she commits to the attack, Neji throws himself into a sideways dive, then comes up flinging snowballs at her.]

Dragon? I think that was a very lazy sheep, Tenten!

[It was kind of a dragon, okay?! Her retort is cut off by a mouthful of snow right to the face, leaving her sputtering and trying to dodge the best she can, arms raised to guard.]

You hafta admit, it was cool!

I'll give you points for quick thinking, that's for sure.

[Maybe if he squinted. Maybe then it would look something like a dragon. But she's eating snow now, and he wants to press his advantage. He darts in close, a large chunk of snow in one hand like a soft, crumbly stone, ready to slam into her from close range.]

[Maybe if shut up it's a dragon.

Still spitting out the snow from the previous barrage, she only manages to get one quick throw before that close-range slam gets her, leaving her shrieking a little from the cold.]

Dammit!

Stay on your toes, Tenten.

[Maybe snowball fights are a good way to train. If Luceti's going to be like this every winter (and he's pretty sure it is) they should do this regularly. He's pretty sure Lee will enjoy it too.]

[Not the sharpest retort, but now she's on the retreat, trying to get out of his range the only way she knows best. By reaching back into her kunai pouch with half-numbed fingers to draw a series of kunai attached by a wire, hurling that to him to try to trap him up or at least delay him so she can get some range.]

Where else would I be?

[He ducks away from the kunai, sacrificing a few moments to do so, and then pushes after her, determined not to let her make full use of the space she's gained.

Really, it's just a wetter, messier form of training.]

[She laughs in response and keeps backpedaling, trying to get as far out of his reach as possible. The snow doesn't help with that, though, her feet catching against a rock buried beneath a snowdrift and leaving her plummeting backwards, wings fluttering in vain to try to keep her upright.

Then she crashes to the ground with a cry of pain because ow fuck right on the wings god damn it.]

[Okay, that cry of pain immediately takes this from "simple fun" to "something's wrong." Neji's combat stance immediately drops and he's at her side in a quick stride, dropping to kneel in the snow.]

Tenten?

[She's pretty sure in the impact that she's at least loosened a couple feathers from getting caught under her arm. She's not so dazed from the pain that she's not going to snatch up a handful of snow and shove it in Neji's face, though.]

God damned wings! [She explains through gritted teeth, forcing herself over.]

[Of course she takes the opportunity to slam snow into his face, when he's concerned about her. Of course. Teamwork is all well and good, but they're still ninja.

[He brushes the snow out of his face with an impatient snort (and a poorly concealed shiver), and gives her a sharp look.]

You didn't damage them? [If there's any actual injury, he'll drag her over to Sakura or Ino or someone. He knows you don't mess around with the wings.]

[Of course. She'd be disappointed if he didn't do the same to her. She grabs his arm though and uses it for leverage to haul herself up, shivering since now her wings are coated in snow and it's cold and--]

No, I don't think so. I hate these things.

Good. [He hates them too -- just another reminder of how far from home they are -- but he's willing to let concern for her override annoyance that she got the drop on him like that.]
