[Video - Friday morning 12/6]

[Sakura hits the journals up in the morning, relatively early; she's in a cheerful, energetic mood this morning, and feels the need to do some playing today.]

So! We got all that snow yesterday. I think it's time to have a little fun!

What does everyone think of a grand mass snowball fight? I'm talking ninja-style, very few holds barred, get 'em however you can! [Pause.] Try to avoid actually causing serious bodily harm, though. The point is to have fun. But other than that, go for it!

The whole village is fair game, but let's at least get started... hm, just to the south, I think. Plenty of space for fun, and we can spread from there!


[Action - Same day, all day]

[Sakura's out there, wrapped up warm and ready for action. It's a beautiful day for shenanigans and she's got more than a few in mind!]

There's only one rule. Make me do any actual work, and I will destroy you! [Translation: hurt someone and she'll hurt you.

She may also be starting some snow fortifications. Nothing like having the upper hand!]

[Lee comes late in the day - and it's clear what he spend most of the time on. It's a large snow boulder that he's balancing himself atop.]

Please... Mark the occasion in your calender! For the time is now...

THE WINTERTIME OF YOUTH!

[And with that, he runs on the boulder to make it propel downward, ready to snow-bulldoze any in his way. Well, at least for most people he'll settle for just lightly bumping them with his monstrosity.]

[Shriek

But after a moment (after she gets to safety; goodbye snow fort) it turns into laughing. She can't say it's not a snowball, after all!]

Lee, that's a monster!

[He gives a small laugh at that, while coming to a halt because he feels like sparring Sakura. He puts his hands on his hips confidently.]

A very handsome monster! Much like youth itself, Sakura-san. I believe that victory is in my grasp!

[medicalpunch]

[He wants to spar, does he? Well, she can get behind that!]

Is it? We'll just have to see about that, won't we?

[Will it protect him from a snowball winged at his face?]

See we sha- augh!

[Not, it won't. Especially as his foot just now manages to sink into his snow behemoth, and the snowball gets him in the face while he's reaching to pull his leg out.]

Sakura-san... You have obtained the first strike.

[And then he pulls two snowballs out of the mass, leaping into the air to throw them at her at the same time.]

Allow me to reserve the second and third!

You can try!

[She twists out of the way -- with partial success. One snowball misses her, but the other catches her on the hip. Enough time for her to scoop some more, though!]

I think that third strike's going to be mine!

[And another snowball whipped at Lee, for his midsection this time.]

Your challenge is daring!

[He says. He dodges manage a quick dodge as he lands, the snowball just narrowly missing, and he reaches to grab another chunk of snow from his snow boulder.]

But please, Sakura-san, do not speak too soon! I do not enjoy proving you wrong!

[Even if he is enjoying the lively competition.]

[She's already gathering another one, too -- it's a race to see who'll throw first!]

Oh, don't trouble yourself on my account! I don't think you've got much reason to be worried!

[And on the last word she flings her next missile.]

[He winds up throwing his snowball around the same time Sakura throws hers. And he tries to move at the same time, but it winds up striking his hip.]

Ah - perhaps you were correct!

And this is why you should listen to me! I'm pretty prophetic sometimes, y'know!

[Time to press her advantage -- she quickly scoops and sends more snowballs after him, laughing.]

Is that so? Coming from a disciple of the Gondaime Hokage, I'm not surprised!

[He dashes with a foolhardy laugh to avoid her snowballs and tries to pelt her with another one.]

But perhaps I can also be unpredictable, in the way that only youth can!

What, are you trying to be Naruto, now?

[If this were happening after Gintoki's post, maybe he would be.]

But keep up with the flattery, it might get you somewhere!

[And she's waiting until he gets close enough that she can just kick up a giant spray of snow into his face. So maybe it's not technically a snow ball but hey, we're thinking outside the lines here.]

I'm trying to learn from his example. That is all!

Where will flattery get me - to victory?!

[He says that as he dashes straight towards her to throw a snowball head-on towards her.

And then, he almost immediately runs into the spray of snow and falls back from it.]

Ack!

Ohh, I don't think anything's going to get you there!

[But that does leave open the question of where else she means~]

Yahaha!

[And she's pressing her advantage, pummeling him with more hastily-scooped snow.]

[He raises his arms to block them as much as he can manage, as he prepares his next strike.]

Is that so? Konoha Whirlwind!

[He says as he manages a series of kicks at the piles of snow to slam them at her.]

[Yeeeek! Sakura gets slammed with snow, caked in it -- but she's not defeated yet! Because she's got some strength of her own too, and very few holds are barred in a situation like this.

Her fist slams into the ground, sending up a tsunami-like wave of snow to blast Lee -- and anyone else in the vicinity!]

[Okay, this? Was highly unexpected. So unexpected that Riku attempts to lunge out of the bolder's path before cloaking himself in a clear dome made up of hexogonal shapes. Barrier spells do come in handy at times like these.]

Don't you think you're going a bit overboard?

Riku-kun! Do you consider that perhaps you are no on-board enough to begin with?

[He laughs confidently as he tries to follow his voice to his location.]

Usage of special abilities could be considered unfair... then again, I will heartily accept any handicap that is thrown my way!

Nah. Just think that boulder-sized snowballs are a bit ridiculous.

[But you wanna go extreme? Two can play at this game, as a smirk starts to form on Riku's lips before his Keyblade flashes into his clutches...

And then an icy mist starts twirling around the tip. Ooh, suspenseful.]

Well I think that they are the product of hard work!

[And he watches that icy mist carefully.]

An... ice user...?

Nah, it's just one Blizzaga spell. I can do way more than that.

[But, seeing how this is a snowball fight, he wills the spell not to produce ice, but a snowball, and a fairly sizeable one at that...

Which promptly shoots off the Keyblade's tip and towards Lee's face. Think fast!]

[Fast is what Lee is all about! He goes into a quick backflip to land behind the snow boulder.]

Your abilities are intriguing, Riku-kun! It's no wonder that Ino-san found you to be worthy of romance!

Ha. I kind of doubt the abilities had much to do with it, but thanks.

[Of course, while he cracks a smile at Lea, that's not gonna stop him from readying another snow blast. Best to stay sharp!]
