[Video - Friday morning 12/6]

[Sakura hits the journals up in the morning, relatively early; she's in a cheerful, energetic mood this morning, and feels the need to do some playing today.]

So! We got all that snow yesterday. I think it's time to have a little fun!

What does everyone think of a grand mass snowball fight? I'm talking ninja-style, very few holds barred, get 'em however you can! [Pause.] Try to avoid actually causing serious bodily harm, though. The point is to have fun. But other than that, go for it!

The whole village is fair game, but let's at least get started... hm, just to the south, I think. Plenty of space for fun, and we can spread from there!

[Action - Same day, all day]

[Sakura's out there, wrapped up warm and ready for action. It's a beautiful day for shenanigans and she's got more than a few in mind!]

There's only one rule. Make me do any actual work, and I will destroy you! [Translation: hurt someone and she'll hurt you.

She may also be starting some snow fortifications. Nothing like having the upper hand!]

[ What's this? A snowball fight? And Sasuke is completely, unwittingly, unguarded at the moment?

Why, that sure is a snowball flying straight at Sasuke's head from seemingly out of nowhere. ]

[Sasuke's preoccupied with ducking behind a bank from someone else as the other snowball flies, and it's taking him a little longer with his chakra half-locked to track the harmless snowballs in mid-flight. So Kakashi's splatters right in the center of the back of his head, and he splutters, wheeling around with a small, hard-packed (but short of being ice) ball at the ready.]

[Sees no one.]

[He immediately leaves his mediocre hiding place to dart toward an evergreen tree, opting for a little more cover as he tries to place where that throw might have come from.]

[ He kind of wishes that he had a camera for Sasuke's expression at that very time, but as it is, memory will just have to serve him well enough, as he tracks Sasuke's movements easily, moving stealthily through the trees to keep an eye on his target as he packs a few smaller snowballs, the size of smoke bombs.

Sasuke's guard is definitely more on guard at the moment, so it might not be as easy to land another shot, but if there are multiple balls flying at him-- or if Kakashi cheats, maybe he can manage to hit Sasuke square in the temple.

Cheating it is.

Kakashi quietly produces a shadow clone and nods to him as the clone gathers up some snowballs and heads around to flank Sasuke's tree.

For a little while, absolutely nothing happens.

And then, suddenly a barrage of snowballs (thanks to said clone) start flying at Sasuke from the front as Kakashi chucks a few from the back. What will Sasuke do...? ]

[Sharingan are spinning as Sasuke packs a few more small, shuriken-sized snowballs, just tightly enough so he can stuff them in his pockets. He's half-shielded by low-hanging, snow-laden branches, but he can't expect that to be good enough, so he's on high alert.]

[Enough time draws on that he's absolutely certain it's another shinobi he's dealing with.]

[And then the snowballs fly, and Sasuke turns away from those at his front just fast enough to catch the ones coming in at a flank in the corner of his eye. Without thinking he goes up, hopping into the first low branches easily and climbing halfway up the tree, the closely-spaced branches even easier to scurry up than the deciduous ones at home. Some snow dislodges and falls as he goes, but he's fast and light and doesn't rock the tree enough to catch himself in the fall. He braces his feet carefully so he has both hands free. And then, hell, opts for a guess.]

No bells this time, huh?

[There's a slim chance Kakashi (if it is Kakashi) will actually answer, but he'll give it a shot. And up high and past the slimmer trunk, Sasuke can see a little more of the field, focuses his Sharingan to catch any hint of the other's chakra signature.]

[ Of course Kakashi isn't going to answer. That'd give away his location(s) far too easily.

Being that he activated a kage bunshin, he can't put a seal on his chakra in order to hide his position as easily, and had expected that Sasuke most likely would have activated Sharingan. As such, the best thing to do in this current situation is to have the clone act as a decoy, which the clone sets about doing without Kakashi even needing to signal, moving surreptitiously through the trees as the real Kakashi backtracks a little and begins to set up traps. But instead of exploding tags or other more lethal marks, Kakashi's traps are triggered to release either big piles of snow from shaking limbs, or send a few smokebomb-sized snowballs flying.

This is actually more fun than he'd initially expected.

The clone sends some random, carefully aimed snowballs -- not at Sasuke, but at the branches above Sasuke in an attempt to knock snow off the branch and onto him. ]

[Oh, of course he doesn't answer. Honestly that just makes Sasuke more certain.]

[It only takes him a moment to track approaching movement, and almost as quickly his eyes have focused down on Kakashi's chakra signature - nowhere near as accurately as a sensor-type, but he remembers what the other's chakra looks like well enough even years later. Weeks of training and all.]

[Snowballs fly, and Sharingan track them easily; in one motion, Sasuke dodges back against and around the trunk, snow falling from above missing him by inches - and twists his less weight-braced foot, bringing a thinner branch below him bending back. Tomoe spinning, he lifts that foot before the falling snow from the limbs above hits the ground below, sending the branch snapping back into place and winging its own snow in a wide arc toward the tree Kakashi's in - and the two on either side.]

[ Naturally, when the clone spots snow flying in his direction, he opts to jump back, flipping backwards out of the tree he's in, into a tree safely tucked behind, to allow the first tree to take the brunt of the snow. And then, he starts moving-- snapping multiple branches forward in Sasuke's direction, as he heads straight for the obstacle of traps the real Kakashi had set, wires and trigger point hidden by snow.

(Meanwhile, the real Kakashi hides himself and observes, to analyze Sasuke's movements and see how much he's grown.) ]
