[Video - Friday morning 12/6]

[Sakura hits the journals up in the morning, relatively early; she's in a cheerful, energetic mood this morning, and feels the need to do some playing today.]

So! We got all that snow yesterday. I think it's time to have a little fun!

What does everyone think of a grand mass snowball fight? I'm talking ninja-style, very few holds barred, get 'em however you can! [Pause.] Try to avoid actually causing serious bodily harm, though. The point is to have fun. But other than that, go for it!

The whole village is fair game, but let's at least get started... hm, just to the south, I think. Plenty of space for fun, and we can spread from there!


[Action - Same day, all day]

[Sakura's out there, wrapped up warm and ready for action. It's a beautiful day for shenanigans and she's got more than a few in mind!]

There's only one rule. Make me do any actual work, and I will destroy you! [Translation: hurt someone and she'll hurt you.

She may also be starting some snow fortifications. Nothing like having the upper hand!]

[Naruto got Sakura's message and thought there was no better way than to spend the day. It would be fun!

Of course he is taking this super seriously (when he isn't laughing his ass off because it is fun) so if you happen to pass through the area, beware of the ninja hidden behind the tree because you are a target whether you are actually playing or not.

And there's a snowball flying towards the back of your head in 3..2..1...]

[Ah, but what about the ninja creeping up on the ninja?

Naruto, you've got incoming on your six o'clock. Ready and armed with a snowball barrage.

And just as he's about to go after a helpless passerby... that's when she'll strike.]

[He unleashes his snowball attack on the unsuspecting person ahead of him and there are those two whole seconds of mischievous glee on his face

until something splats into the back of his head and it's cold and it's running down his neck and-]

Ahhh-!!

[Scrambling to brush the snow off of him, he turns to see who threw it at him.]

Sakura-chan!?

[Sakura-chan who is preparing another snowball as we speak. And laughing. A lot.]

Gotta stay on your toes, Naruto!

[No time to lose, he's already up and gathering more snow himself.]

You'd better too, Sakura-chan!

[medicalpunch]

[Now it's a race! She packs her snowball, staying light on her feet and ready to dodge as she gets it perfect. No sloppy, loose-packed snow for her!]

[Ilyana of course had no idea Naruto was there, more preoccupied with thoughts of what she was going to eat for dinner today. Or what she was going to eat as soon as she could find something to eat...

That's when out of the blue, she felt the thud of a snowball hit her right in the back of her head, slightly cushioned by her light purple hair. Staring blankly forward for a few moments, she slowly turned around to see who it was who had struck her with a ball of snow. She stared for a few moments, hands behind her back, just trying to figure out who he was, and why it was she'd had a snowball thrown at her.

Of course, she was also stealthily using a magical tome to ready a gust of wind to knock all the snow off the tree he was under, right on top of his head.]

[Naruto is busy grinning to himself as he watches her. Great! She hadn't even spotted him, ha ha this was so great!

...Of course, the mood soon changes when the snow from the tree falls onto him, followed by a muffled yelp.]

IT'S COLD Y'KNOW!!

[ilyana]

[Don't mind Ilyana... there's this sort of smug and satisfied smile on her face as she watches shiver.]

Well if it weren't cold, it would just be water, or steam... It would kind of defeat the purpose.

Well I know that!

[He doesn't stay grumbling for long though- already grabbing a scoop of snow and leaping up into the tree as he presses it all together into a snowball to throw at her.]

[ilyana]

[Ilyana whirled around, spinning her cloak to use as a shield against the oncoming snowball.]

My... you're rather agile aren't you?

[She guessed she really should have expected that from a ninja snowball fight. Of course, if she kept trying to deflect snowballs with her cloak, it would likely be a soaking mess by the time she was done. The biggest problem of course, was hitting him while he was up in a tree without resorting to more magic.]

[ Hiding under a tree isn't necessarily the best idea when there's a certain sensei on a tree limb above your head. All he has to do is give his branch a good shake and --

Success.

Huge fucking pile of snow coming down on Naruto. ]

[Naruto had just bent down to gather up a huge snowball to chuck at someone when suddenly EVERYTHING IS COLD.

There's some flailing and spluttering as the pile of snow knocks him off balance and onto the ground, and then he has to get out from underneath it.

Have one cold, wet Naruto standing up and pointing an accusatory finger up towards his Sensei.]

Oi, Kakashi-sensei!!

[ura_no_ura]

Always pay attention to your surroundings, Naruto.

[ Kakashi says rather dryly, and then punctuates the statement with a snowball aimed right at Naruto's chest. He figured another face full of snow would be too mean after dumping a small pile on top of him. ]

Aww, Kakashi-sensei...

[He doesn't even manage to dodge the snowball, letting it hit his chest.]

[However he isn't completely defenseless, clones of his have been running around this whole time and sneaking up on people and one is behind Kakashi right now, chucking a snowball at him.]

[ You're a hundred years too young to get Kakashi like that, Naruto. Kakashi senses something hurtling at him, and he does the sensible thing.

He ducks.

While standing right in front of Naruto. ]

...and then I remembered that I was planning on tagging this. /FAILS

[Bulla had been planning on going shopping and picking up a few things. She's even reading over her list to make sure she doesn't forget anything when she's interrupted with a frigidly cold and wet -SPLAT!- at the back of her head.]

Aaah! What the hell was that for?!

[She goes looking around for whoever threw it. Based on the angle it came in at and the fact that she can't see who did it, she can at least guess where they are.

Well, turnabout is fair play. She picks up an armful of snow and packs it into a ball roughly the size of a beach ball before taking flight. Flying low, she spots the culprit and lets the large ball of snow fly at him.]

[Snickering away, Naruto crouched down to make another snowball before turning back to pelt another one at her but--]

Ehh?!

[Where'd she go!?

Of course it is barely a second later when he senses someone up in the air, turning around just in time to get a face full of snow.]

Argh!

That's what you get for throwing snowballs at innocent girls, Naruto!

[She gives a little triumphant hairflip.]

Especially this one.

[believeit]

You're not innocent at all! [You just got him with that trick!]

[And now there's another snowball flying toward her.]

I totally am!

[And then the snowball comes at her. She almost dodges it, but it glances off the side of her head, and some of it even goes down her collar.]

You--aaaiieeeeee!

[She lets out a little yelp as some of the snow slides down her neck.]

You started it!

The latest ever!

[Did you throw that snowball? Because That Guy who lives with Itachi... has his nose crammed in a book, is sitting on a log, and probably looks like an easy mark to be plastered right about...

That guy just tilts his head to the side. Must have been dumb luck, right? Because that snowball is sailing on by and he still has his nose stuck in that book.

(Or the other option is this is some sort of obvious insidious trap of course)

So what do now, Naruto?]

[He was SO sure it was going to hit. But the way the guy sits there and just dodges without paying any attention reminds him so much of Kakashi that he's now on a mission.

He steps out to gather more snow, purposefully making sure that he can be seen doing it as a clone is quietly sneaking around the area, via trees, to try and get behind him.]

... you know, Mister Naruto...

[To the obvious guy in front, not even looking up except for a flicker. However he stretches out one hand and the air swirls underneath it.]

Nevermind. No point. Fine.

[He was going to remind you he does live with Itachi and he's no stranger to ninja tricks, sir. But maybe that's better done through show and not tell.]

Ehh? I'm not doing anything!

[Just casually gathering snow that he has no intention of throwing yup yup.

Hurry up clone and get there!]

You shouldn't be sat in the middle of a snow war y'know.
