[Sakura opens the journal and contemplates it for several moments before she hits 'record.' She's been trying to decide whether to say anything at all, whether she really wants to mark this particular occasion. But it seems like -- well, why not? Maybe it will help whet her determination to return home. Maybe... maybe it'll mean something.

Finally, she keys for the video and clears her throat.]

It's been a year since I came here. A little more now, I guess. I've been thinking about it for a while -- it just feels really odd to think that I've spent a whole year of my life with everything on pause while I'm here. As much as it's nice not to be in the middle of a war zone...

Well. At least I've got friends here. It would be worse if I were alone.

Anyone want to go for some drinks tonight? I think I could use a little something.

[Taking after her mentor, maybe. But for tonight, Sakura can't fault Tsunade's usual escape. There's nothing she can do about being here, no way to forget about what's going on at home -- so she'll try to distract herself as best she can.]

[Action]

[True to words, Sakura heads down to Seventh Heaven as the sun sets, wrapped in a warm coat against the winter, which she sheds as soon as she gets there. Whether or not anyone's coming to join her, she's planning to drink herself into forgetfulness tonight.]

Well, not like I had any huge plans for tonight. Just let me know what I need to do, and I'll head on over.

[He's... not quite sure what a drinking game entails beyond copious amount of alcohol, so this'll be a learning experience.]

[In fact, shortly after conferring with her, he'll mosey on over to Good Spirits. After all, with a crowd this big, she'll probably want to get the ball rolling ASAP.]

[And the ball sure is rolling! He'll show up to a party, albeit not yet a particularly rowdy one; drinks are spread out in plenty, and he gets a wave from Sakura as he enters.]

There you are!

[And he nods his head, slowing his pace on his way through the door.]

Hope I'm not too late. Looks like you've already gotten a head start.

Late implies there was a start time. [She shrugs, clearly not putting any weight on it.] You haven't really missed anything!

Well, maybe not a start time, but I'd hate to keep you guys waiting.

[Still, he'll take a few seconds to glimpse over the tables, rubbing his chin in thought.]

What kind of drinks are we shooting for, anyway? I'm... not exactly an alcohol expert.

[Read: he only knows beer, wine, rum, and... general drink names in passing. How potent they are or what they taste like? All that's lost on him.]

I don't think anyone here really is - don't worry about it! We've just dug up some stuff, I'm trying different things that look good. [She gestures to the various bottles people are helping themselves to.]
