[Sakura opens the journal and contemplates it for several moments before she hits 'record.' She's been trying to decide whether to say anything at all, whether she really wants to mark this particular occasion. But it seems like -- well, why not? Maybe it will help whet her determination to return home. Maybe... maybe it'll mean something.
Finally, she keys for the video and clears her throat.]
It's been a year since I came here. A little more now, I guess. I've been thinking about it for a while -- it just feels really odd to think that I've spent a whole year of my life with everything on pause while I'm here. As much as it's nice not to be in the middle of a war zone...
Well. At least I've got friends here. It would be worse if I were alone.
Anyone want to go for some drinks tonight? I think I could use a little something.
[Taking after her mentor, maybe. But for tonight, Sakura can't fault Tsunade's usual escape. There's nothing she can do about being here, no way to forget about what's going on at home -- so she'll try to distract herself as best she can.]
[Action]
[True to words, Sakura heads down to Seventh Heaven as the sun sets, wrapped in a warm coat against the winter, which she sheds as soon as she gets there. Whether or not anyone's coming to join her, she's planning to drink herself into forgetfulness tonight.]

I've been tempted a couple times, but this is the first time I've just gone and done it.
[She grins.]
Pretty good stuff -- wherever it's from. Do you ever wonder? All these different worlds, and bits and pieces of them just... wind up here.

[And that's just in time for her saké to arrive. That thing Tsunade is famous for. You'd better bet Tenten's pouring it to try before answering Sakura's question.
Bluh! Her whole face contorts as she twitches because if there's anything saké isn't like, it's whatever Sakura's drinking right now. But she's going to power through it, tilting the dish to finish it. Let's just not comment on how bad it tastes.]
I guess, [and her voice is a little hoarser now,] I mean, we ended up here, after all, so why shouldn't other random stuff be here, too? Have you seen the weapons that turn up?

[Okay, that expression is pretty funny. And so's the story.]
When you were a genin, huh? Doesn't surprise me too much. And I'm not sure we'd bring a twelve-year-old along to this, even here. [Because they might be underage, but there's underage and underage.]
Bet you're having fun with the weapons, though.
