4th Punch
[After Luceti Valley fades away, Sakura spends a couple days hunting down her patients, healing anyone who asks for it, trying to wrap her head around the changes she went through, trying to reestablish herself as Haruno Sakura, medic-nin of Konoha.
But when the morning dawns, two days after Luceti returned to normal, Sakura is gone.
A week or so passes, with no Sakura in evidence. And then...]
[Action - By the river]
[That sure is a yelp, a flash of white, and a very loud splash as Sakura lands squarely in the river. For a second she sinks, too startled at the abrupt change of scenery to react, and then she starts kicking toward the surface, the skirt of her dress clinging around her legs and interfering with the movement. It'd be tempting to take a kunai to it... if she had one on her. As it is, she doesn't . Whoops.
She breaks the surface, gasping and shaking water out of her eyes, then pauses to stare at the village, a scowl on her face.]
Really? Really? I get sent home for all of an hour at best, and then this again?
[There are a couple visible changes to her -- her hair has lost all the black and red dye again, back to its normal pink from root to tip, and there's a blue diamond mark in the center of her forehead now, one that will look awfully familiar to any Konoha-nin who know her teacher.]
I guess I should be grateful. [She snorts] At least it isn't the dead of winter this time.
[Sakura's dry and dressed again, and she takes to the journals, flipping through it for a long moment to figure out just how long she was gone. Not long -- a matter of days, she guesses, maybe a week or two -- but sure as heck longer than she was home!]
Hey everyone. I'm back. Guess they just couldn't do without me after all.
Hinata - I hope you haven't given my room away in a week! [She's trying to make a joke, okay. Even if coming back from the battlefield again makes joking the last thing she wants to do.]
Sasuke... I'd like to talk to you at some point.
[A flash of something unreadable crosses her face, and then she shakes her head.]
Everyone else... well, I hope you didn't miss me too much!

[Yeah, she felt her feet hit something that was definitely not river bottom. Thanks, Malnosso.]
Sorry! I didn't do it on purpose. [As she tries to push wet hair out of her eyes.]

At least you can swim. Or do you need help getting to shore?
no subject
I can manage. [Although the dress is really a pain when it comes to that attempt. Her options are swim, where the dress might afford her a little more modesty, or climb on top of the water, where it won't. But she won't have the skirt dragging around her legs and hampering her movements so much. Which to pick?
Movement wins over modesty, and she forces herself to stillness for a moment before pressing a hand on top of the water, firming it with chakra, and levering himself out, sitting and then standing on top of the water as though it's solid.]

[Even if your blood is mixed with human it would be nice to have companion who understood what it was like to hear the water's call as she did.]

Or are you connected to the wind? Are you actually on the air?
no subject
No, we don't live in the water. But the use of our abilities lets us walk over top of it, among other things. [A lot of other things.] I'm using a cushion of energy to stand right now.
no subject
So it is not the will of the water that you are using? What about if there are waves?
[She's curious and Sakura should easily pick up that waves do gently start to bob in the water. Actually coming from the dark haired woman and moving their way calmly towards Sakura. Xzana after all isn't trying to hurt; simply wanting to experiment just a little.]
no subject
It isn't that much of a problem... [She tenses a little when the waves come, but rides over them, her feet planted to the surface. Her legs absorb the motion, bending as though it were the earth moving under her, but she doesn't get dunked.]
You control water, then? [It seems pretty self-evident, but always better to be sure.]
no subject
[She swims around Sakura once more.] So you simply have magic? [That's not as fun, but humans that could control magic deserved some respect.] Can you fly if you are standing on magic and not the water? [Magic is what you meant by energy, right?]
no subject
Fly? [She considers it, then shrugs a little.] Theoretically, someone with sufficient chakra -- magic -- could, but I don't have enough to make that worthwhile. Pretty much all ninja can jump very far distances, though -- a lot of civilians think we do fly.

Are you a better jumper than humans, then? [Eying her curiously. When someone is willing to offer up any tidbits about their abilities...]

Yes, I was here just recently; I only went home for a little while, and now I'm back. [And remembering everything, and almost wishing she didn't.] I'm not sure how long I was gone for, as Luceti goes, but I wasn't even home a full day.

I'm sure I'll find someone who can fill me in.

Thanks. I'll see you around, I guess. [Maybe, if she comes down to the river more often. Either way, she heads off toward the village proper.]
