[Sakura's on a new mission! Change up her look and her style in order to get that so-special man. If her hair is a displeasing color and her forehead looks bad, well, why not fix it?

So she'll be found in the item shop, browsing jumbled boxes of hair dye that seem to have made their way into the picture and contemplating what can be done with them.]

Hmm... black's pretty traditional. I'm not sure it would work that well with my skin, though. Moving from a light tone to a dark tone is tricky... maybe brunette? This one's got a bit of a red undertone to it, that should keep it looking natural...

[B - In/Around the Battle Dome]

[Regardless of the state of her hair, she'll still be doing everything she can to keep in training -- and that doesn't mean only her medical work! If anything, she's putting more energy than usual into physical strength training. Heading to the battle dome either early in the morning or as soon as she's done at the clinic, she'll be pushing herself for long, strenuous workouts, often leaving only when she's wobbly-kneed and exhausted.

Anyone catching her heading in will see determination and pride in her steps; anyone catching her leaving will find her staggering, sweat-drenched and longing for nothing more than a shower back in CH1.]


[C - Around the village, 11th-14th]

[Okay, so she's starting to get a little desperate. The clock is ticking on her bet with Ino, to run out the evening of the 14th, and she's dateless. So she'll start to wear more makeup, dressing more nicely, and making mostly very awkward attempts to flirt with any guy who looks interesting - or interested! It's embarrassing, yes, but she's made her bet and she'll fulfill it! Even if it was really a stupid thing to let herself get goaded into.]



[Voice - morning of the 14th]

Does anyone have some advice on dyeing or restyling hair? I'm thinking about trying a bit of a new look, but I'm afraid I've not really done this much myself! [Have a slight nervous giggle here -- most of her own hair-cutting adventures have involved kunai and the heat of combat, after all.] Some help would really be appreciated.

Don't see the problem with keeping it pink, but maybe that's just me.

[She turns to look at him, and can't help a smile at his words. That's... well, it's nice to hear, even from someone who's very definitely off-limits.]

I just... think it's time for a change, that's all. Besides, pink hair is kind of weird...

I don't really know a lot about dyeing, but...My friends and I used to like, mess with each other's hair all the time back home. Like, what were you thinking about doing?

Oh, well, I was thinking about maybe trying a style with proper bangs. [Because someone had to go and be nasty about her forehead. And she still wants him to like her anyway.] And maybe coloring it dark... black or dark brown, maybe.

[Cross is just seeing this awkward behaviour and he himself is just confused by it. He's out heading to Seventh Heaven when he see's Sakura doing...well whatever she's doing. He's not really sure. In any case, he's going to go over to her and find out. After all, his nosy streak can't end yet!]

Yes, I think I am. [Temari doesn't seem like the kind of person to get affected by the emotional storm of a guy she likes thinking she's ugly.] Just... something a little different, you know?

[Masaomi is out and about on the 14th, looking for (but not 100% expecting) chocolate now that his spirits have been raised a little. Which is why he's up to his old tricks of walking on the rails of the bridges and other such tomfoolery like that. When he sees Sakura from a distance, he grins and skips to close the distance. Hassle her about her theoretical need to give him chocolate. Or maybe that voice thing from earlier. or compliment her hair if it's already dyed]

[She has in fact gone through with the dye job -- hair that was once a light pink is now a deep, rich black with some red-chestnut undertones, with light, wispy bangs sweeping across her forehead. A very different look for Sakura!

She's got some chocolate in hand, and still has an idea of going looking for Lee; maybe with her forehead concealed and her hair no longer an odd color, he might be more receptive to her. But deep inside, she's already feeling that the hope is futile -- after all, she is the 'unmarketable' one, according to Ino. The one who's no good at receiving male attention.]

[ For the time being, Sasuke is just hanging around the village doing nothing in particular. Probably looking around a random shop or something.

Well, whatever, right? Reasons don't matter all that much in the scheme of things. What does matter is that he eventually spots Sakura and stops. Really stops and stares at her. Is that make-up? Is that different gear? It didn't look very sturdy. If her hair is dyed, he'll notice that too. ... after a few seconds of watching Sakura, he turns his head away. They aren't friends anymore. There's no reason for him to care how she dresses herself up. ]

[Yup, that sure is some vibrantly different dye she's got going on. Black with bright 'modern' streaks of crimson.

Unfortunately for Sasuke, she's the one who always had the better chakra sensing, the most sensitive one. Even dolled up like she is now, she's still a ninja underneath, and knowing when you're being watched is an important ninja skill. The warning sense of it tingles up her spine, and she freezes, looking around.

And spots him. Oh no. Oh no, no one's warned her that Sasuke's here, and now she's running into the former teammate she tried to kill the last time she saw him... and to top it all off, she's all done up in a way that feels frankly embarrassing all of a sudden. To face Sasuke, she wants herself on serious ground, nothing more and nothing less than a meeting of ninja. Not... not trolling for a date like this.

And to think, once upon a time, meeting up with him all done up, with chocolate in her hand, on Valentine's Day, would have seemed like the greatest stroke of luck. Not anymore. Now it seems girlish, embarrassing, juvenile. Stupid. All those things she's been trying so hard not to be.

But she can't just let him vanish without a word, either. Not... not like this, not now. Knowing he's here, she needs to know...]

... Sasuke...

[A quiet word, and she takes a step toward him, even as he turns his head away. Is that all this is going to be? She's tense, every muscle in her body ready for action if action is called for.]
