1st Punch
[Action: Where the rivers meet in the village]
[Sakura's arrival in Luceti comes with a short, bitten-off yell of surprise and a splash as she drops into the icy water. The white-clad figure vanishes underwater, then reappears, struggling, fighting to surface long enough to catch her breath. It's shockingly cold, iced over in places -- although thankfully not where she fell -- and even if she knows nothing else yet, she knows she must get out of the water.]
[Flailing, gasping, reeling in shock from the sudden cold, it's extremely difficult for her to get atop the water as a ninja would normally go -- but she's too cold to swim properly, she knows that all too well, and with the ice besides, she has no other choice.]
[She's proud of her own strength and control, and she makes herself display it now, pushing up out of the water and working her way until she is balanced by chakra on the surface.]
[Now, though, she's exposed to the bitter air, soaking wet, with nothing but a thin, backless white dress to cover her. And she's freezing.]
[She makes her way toward the shore, where there's a journal waiting for her. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a warm blanket or anything like one. Just the journal, with her name on it, and a biting chill to the air.]
[Sakura's hair is is still damp when her face appears on the journals. She's managed to get dry and warmed up -- and much more warmly dressed than when she arrived -- but she looks disoriented, worried, and worn.]
I don't know what this place is, where it is, why it is. I'm not sure I even want to speculate. But if there's anyone... familiar out there, anyone who knows me -- I'm here.

Okay!
[He'll find her in the clinic when he gets there, wrapped up in a blanket and at least partially dry. It's a start, at least!]
no subject
Okay maybe not that much but it looks like he's carrying a pile.]
Got some stuff! Didn't know what'd fit so I just grabbed everything I could.
no subject
[She can't help giggling. All she'd expected was that he'd find something warm and generally size-less like a robe or cloak! Instead, he really went all the way, didn't he?]
I'm sure I'll find something that fits well in all of that! Thank you, you really went to extra effort!
no subject
Of course, not in my nature to do things the lazy way. So, yeah, one of everything!
no subject
One of everything... oh my. I'll have a whole new wardrobe if even some of it fits!
no subject
Really? Huh. I didn't think of it like that.
no subject
It's a good thing! A girl gets tired of wearing the same outfit all the time.
[Which... she usually does. Hush. Because in the hospital it matters less.]
no subject
And dumb.]I never really got that. Clothes are clothes, but I guess it would be bad if you wore the same thing all the time. It'd start to smell.

[It would help on stealth missions! No one would know who he was.]
no subject
Here, set it down, let me look through and see what I can find.
[Of course, she has no idea if sizing works the same here as it does at home, which is going to make experimenting a bit tricky, but at least she can generally eyeball things to see what's worth trying on.]
im sorry im a bit late
So, what was that glowy hand trick you did back there? With all those crazy hand movements.
No worries!
Oh, that? That was just a quick jutsu to help boost my body's temperature regulation. It helped keep me from winding up hypothermic before we could get inside.
no subject
[There's a pause.]
Actually, I don't. What's a jutsu?
no subject
Oh, it's an energy technique. There are lots of different kinds that we use for different purposes.
no subject
[Because, Cross has heard a lot of stuff about magic being able to be learned by anyone in other worlds.]

[Sorry, Sakura he has a lot of questions.]
no subject
Well, they can create illusions, they can be used for elemental attacks, they can help you track someone or hide them from tracking, they can help you climb trees or walls, or even walk right across the surface of water...
this interaction, I'm loving it so much ngl
But, I'm guessing you need time to prepare them.
[She could have used it to keep herself from going in the water if that was the case.]
It's pretty awesome ^^
[Well, the majority of her problem was having no warning.]
It varies. Some only take a few seconds, others take longer, more buildup. It depends on how good you are at the technique and how complicated it is.
:D
[But, he realizes he's been asking all the questions. Whoops.]
Oh man, I forgot, you're the new person here. Not me! Right, so, down to business. Do you have any questions for me?
no subject
[And she hesitates, then laughs a little.]
Oh, I have questions! But I hardly even know what to ask first.
