[A - Item shop]

[Sakura's on a new mission! Change up her look and her style in order to get that so-special man. If her hair is a displeasing color and her forehead looks bad, well, why not fix it?

So she'll be found in the item shop, browsing jumbled boxes of hair dye that seem to have made their way into the picture and contemplating what can be done with them.]

Hmm... black's pretty traditional. I'm not sure it would work that well with my skin, though. Moving from a light tone to a dark tone is tricky... maybe brunette? This one's got a bit of a red undertone to it, that should keep it looking natural...

[B - In/Around the Battle Dome]

[Regardless of the state of her hair, she'll still be doing everything she can to keep in training -- and that doesn't mean only her medical work! If anything, she's putting more energy than usual into physical strength training. Heading to the battle dome either early in the morning or as soon as she's done at the clinic, she'll be pushing herself for long, strenuous workouts, often leaving only when she's wobbly-kneed and exhausted.

Anyone catching her heading in will see determination and pride in her steps; anyone catching her leaving will find her staggering, sweat-drenched and longing for nothing more than a shower back in CH1.]


[C - Around the village, 11th-14th]

[Okay, so she's starting to get a little desperate. The clock is ticking on her bet with Ino, to run out the evening of the 14th, and she's dateless. So she'll start to wear more makeup, dressing more nicely, and making mostly very awkward attempts to flirt with any guy who looks interesting - or interested! It's embarrassing, yes, but she's made her bet and she'll fulfill it! Even if it was really a stupid thing to let herself get goaded into.]



[Voice - morning of the 14th]

Does anyone have some advice on dyeing or restyling hair? I'm thinking about trying a bit of a new look, but I'm afraid I've not really done this much myself! [Have a slight nervous giggle here -- most of her own hair-cutting adventures have involved kunai and the heat of combat, after all.] Some help would really be appreciated.

[Masaomi is out and about on the 14th, looking for (but not 100% expecting) chocolate now that his spirits have been raised a little. Which is why he's up to his old tricks of walking on the rails of the bridges and other such tomfoolery like that. When he sees Sakura from a distance, he grins and skips to close the distance. Hassle her about her theoretical need to give him chocolate. Or maybe that voice thing from earlier. or compliment her hair if it's already dyed]

[She has in fact gone through with the dye job -- hair that was once a light pink is now a deep, rich black with some red-chestnut undertones, with light, wispy bangs sweeping across her forehead. A very different look for Sakura!

She's got some chocolate in hand, and still has an idea of going looking for Lee; maybe with her forehead concealed and her hair no longer an odd color, he might be more receptive to her. But deep inside, she's already feeling that the hope is futile -- after all, she is the 'unmarketable' one, according to Ino. The one who's no good at receiving male attention.]

Waaaiii, that's a new look on you. [With a little tone that implies his interest in it. He waves once before sliding in on her left, leaning a bit to the side with his hands up like squares in front of his eyes, as if he were an art critic or something]

You like it? [Talk about a sorely-needed boost to her confidence! She'll strike a little bit of a pose for him, blushing and laughing a bit.] Thank you!

[and her eyes are beautiful. Beautiful and green. He frames one more around her face before relaxing into a more poised position]

Well, you know how to make a girl feel appreciated! It's a lovely thing to hear on Valentine's Day.

[She's turned to fully face him, and brushes a lock of her dyed hair behind her ear, fiddling a little with the end of it.]

Oh, wow, is that today? I totally blanked on that! [He says this with a laugh and a little wave of his hand. It's a bold faced lie, but he's not really trying to lie either, honestly. It's just an airy quote]

[It isn't totally clear if he's serious or joking, but either way, she just laughs it off.] It is! [And she gestures with her little bag of chocolates.] The day of love~ Or of heartbreak, I guess.

Hoooh... I'm going to have to say I'm leaning towards the break, so far. I didn't even get enough chocolate to remember it!

[Rocking from one leg to the other, and then he crouches slightly, flourishing a hand out to be in front of him, opened palmed, at her]

What about you?

[She's been doing her best to keep this whole business with Lee on the quiet, since it's embarrassing, but she looks at him, looks at the chocolate in her hand...

Well. She could go offer it to Lee, and see if her change-up in appearance will have mollified him any, or she can just avoid him, give the chocolate to someone who'll give her the time of day, and possibly have a better Valentine's.]

Man, seriously? I didn't even know you were into anyone. [Though he did know Ino was trying to set her up or something. So maybe there's that. He rocks from one foot to the other, grinning]

Er, well... it's kind of a recent thing, really. And I don't think the sentiments are very much returned.

[And she shrugs, not wanting to think too hard about that. Having Lee refuse to even train with her was pretty harsh.]

What about you?

Iiii... [And he smile gets more sheepish. Much more sheepich, before he tilts his head lightly, arches his eyebrow, and then forces out in as even of voice as can be managed-] I'm going to say "it's complicated" if you haven't already heard from Ino-chan, but even if you did, there's no other logic but to say "single."

[Ino hasn't actually told her anything of the sort. Imagine!] Complication and singlehood... those do go together, don't they? [And she gives a rueful little laugh.] Unfortunately.

See now you just sound melancholy.

[And, by some boldness, he invades personal space to push up on her cheek with his index finger to put a grin on it]

[It's a not entirely expected touch, although he does telegraph well enough to avoid getting a reflexive reaction from her.]

Are you telling me I shouldn't? Because I think that bit of advice cuts two ways, hm?

Hey, hey, I neeever sound melancholy! I'm too busy being awesome. [And he skips back two steps, a grin still plastered over his face and now growing wider, he pulls into a dramatic bow, looking up at her]

[And now he's got her laughing, what with that dramatic flourish and all.]

Oh yeah? Care to show me some of that awesomeness?

[She's playing right along, though, enjoying it.]

Oh come on, you're killing me~ [And he springs to his feet proper, hops two more times to one side, leaps up onto the rail of a nearby bench, and balances on it, pulling himself into another slanted angle, balancing on it]

All the time? [Well, you've gotten her attention, Masaomi. What're you going to do with it, hm?] Must be tiring, being so awesome like that! [She's laughing, going along with the joking.]

It is! It's a tragedy, ladies are falling for me all the time and there isn't even time for all of them.

[With a wistful sigh and leaning back in his balancing position, giving a "sigh reinforcement" with his hand flowing out from his mouth]

Oh my yes, I can see that. How do you even move about all the time with all the women hanging off you like that?

[Okay, yeah, he's a funny guy. She's enjoying herself here.]

Well, I am pretty slippery!

[And he leaps off the rail there and crouches down now at the bottom there and grins]

You'd have to be!

[And it feels like she's making up her mind; another glance at the chocolates in her hand, and then a look at Masaomi, and she pushes herself into a smile that's just a little bit forced, a little bit purer than she feels deep inside.

Conflict sucks, and the first step to feeling at peace is to act.]

So of course, with you being such the big ladies' man and all, surely attention from one more girl won't be much of anything, will it? [Teasing, oh yes, and hinting, more than a little.]

Hhhoooh, you'd think so, but I'm not sure I'd agree at that. [He leaps to his feet, bouncing two times in place before twirling and pulling his arms into a self-embrace centered on his heart.] After all, for all the hunnies that exist out in every corner of the world, I've got a special space in my heart. As such, every last gift is special, because it's a new bud for a part of me.
