[It's one of those things she feels like she ought to say. Ought to let people know, because it's important. They're important, even if they're not here anymore.

On the video, her expression is carefully calm, forced into composure -- but for those who know her well or who are very good at reading faces, it's obvious she's not at all calm about this, not really. They're too important to her for that, and Sasuke in particular... it feels like not enough time. Not enough to getting to savor having her team together again, whole again.]

For anyone wondering... Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke have both gone home.

[Once again, she's the bearer of bad news for Luceti's Konoha population. She takes a breath to say more, but then pauses. What else is there to say, really? And her throat is so tight with it. Her teammates, her boys, are gone -- but they're back where they belong.

It's not enough to ease the sense of loss, though.]

[Video]

[Sakura opens the journal and contemplates it for several moments before she hits 'record.' She's been trying to decide whether to say anything at all, whether she really wants to mark this particular occasion. But it seems like -- well, why not? Maybe it will help whet her determination to return home. Maybe... maybe it'll mean something.

Finally, she keys for the video and clears her throat.]

It's been a year since I came here. A little more now, I guess. I've been thinking about it for a while -- it just feels really odd to think that I've spent a whole year of my life with everything on pause while I'm here. As much as it's nice not to be in the middle of a war zone...

Well. At least I've got friends here. It would be worse if I were alone.

Anyone want to go for some drinks tonight? I think I could use a little something.

[Taking after her mentor, maybe. But for tonight, Sakura can't fault Tsunade's usual escape. There's nothing she can do about being here, no way to forget about what's going on at home -- so she'll try to distract herself as best she can.]

[Action]

[True to words, Sakura heads down to Seventh Heaven as the sun sets, wrapped in a warm coat against the winter, which she sheds as soon as she gets there. Whether or not anyone's coming to join her, she's planning to drink herself into forgetfulness tonight.]

5th Punch ~ Social Violence!

[Video - Friday morning 12/6]

[Sakura hits the journals up in the morning, relatively early; she's in a cheerful, energetic mood this morning, and feels the need to do some playing today.]

So! We got all that snow yesterday. I think it's time to have a little fun!

What does everyone think of a grand mass snowball fight? I'm talking ninja-style, very few holds barred, get 'em however you can! [Pause.] Try to avoid actually causing serious bodily harm, though. The point is to have fun. But other than that, go for it!

The whole village is fair game, but let's at least get started... hm, just to the south, I think. Plenty of space for fun, and we can spread from there!

[Action - Same day, all day]

[Sakura's out there, wrapped up warm and ready for action. It's a beautiful day for shenanigans and she's got more than a few in mind!]

There's only one rule. Make me do any actual work, and I will destroy you! [Translation: hurt someone and she'll hurt you.

She may also be starting some snow fortifications. Nothing like having the upper hand!]

[After Luceti Valley fades away, Sakura spends a couple days hunting down her patients, healing anyone who asks for it, trying to wrap her head around the changes she went through, trying to reestablish herself as Haruno Sakura, medic-nin of Konoha.

But when the morning dawns, two days after Luceti returned to normal, Sakura is gone.

A week or so passes, with no Sakura in evidence. And then...]

[Action - By the river]

[That sure is a yelp, a flash of white, and a very loud splash as Sakura lands squarely in the river. For a second she sinks, too startled at the abrupt change of scenery to react, and then she starts kicking toward the surface, the skirt of her dress clinging around her legs and interfering with the movement. It'd be tempting to take a kunai to it... if she had one on her. As it is, she doesn't . Whoops.

She breaks the surface, gasping and shaking water out of her eyes, then pauses to stare at the village, a scowl on her face.]

Really? Really? I get sent home for all of an hour at best, and then this again?

[There are a couple visible changes to her -- her hair has lost all the black and red dye again, back to its normal pink from root to tip, and there's a blue diamond mark in the center of her forehead now, one that will look awfully familiar to any Konoha-nin who know her teacher.]

I guess I should be grateful. [She snorts] At least it isn't the dead of winter this time.

[Video - A little later]

[Sakura's dry and dressed again, and she takes to the journals, flipping through it for a long moment to figure out just how long she was gone. Not long -- a matter of days, she guesses, maybe a week or two -- but sure as heck longer than she was home!]

Hey everyone. I'm back. Guess they just couldn't do without me after all.

Hinata - I hope you haven't given my room away in a week! [She's trying to make a joke, okay. Even if coming back from the battlefield again makes joking the last thing she wants to do.]

Sasuke... I'd like to talk to you at some point.

[A flash of something unreadable crosses her face, and then she shakes her head.]

Everyone else... well, I hope you didn't miss me too much!

[On day 5 of their time in Luceti Valley, the tax hike has gone through, and Sakura Harukawa is pissed. She's taking to the streets of Lowtown, but not in a militant, fist-waving rage -- oh no, she has better plans.

She's taking the whole matter quietly, building up a resistance. Going door to door, checking on neighbors, chatting -- and trying to sow the seeds of a rebellion. Validating the anger of all the other Lowtown folk, agreeing that something has to be done, voicing her thought that the Mayor will never do anything, and the fat-cats around Lake Catheria are just going to enjoy their comfort on the backs of the working folk.

So if you're at home, or tucked away in a little corner business in Lowtown, you'll get a visit. A little 'hi, how are you?' Concern about how well you'll weather the hike. She wants to know that everyone will be all right, and wants to make sure that they'll all band together in the face of pressure, instead of falling apart under it.]

[A - Item shop]

[Sakura's on a new mission! Change up her look and her style in order to get that so-special man. If her hair is a displeasing color and her forehead looks bad, well, why not fix it?

So she'll be found in the item shop, browsing jumbled boxes of hair dye that seem to have made their way into the picture and contemplating what can be done with them.]

Hmm... black's pretty traditional. I'm not sure it would work that well with my skin, though. Moving from a light tone to a dark tone is tricky... maybe brunette? This one's got a bit of a red undertone to it, that should keep it looking natural...

[B - In/Around the Battle Dome]

[Regardless of the state of her hair, she'll still be doing everything she can to keep in training -- and that doesn't mean only her medical work! If anything, she's putting more energy than usual into physical strength training. Heading to the battle dome either early in the morning or as soon as she's done at the clinic, she'll be pushing herself for long, strenuous workouts, often leaving only when she's wobbly-kneed and exhausted.

Anyone catching her heading in will see determination and pride in her steps; anyone catching her leaving will find her staggering, sweat-drenched and longing for nothing more than a shower back in CH1.]

[C - Around the village, 11th-14th]

[Okay, so she's starting to get a little desperate. The clock is ticking on her bet with Ino, to run out the evening of the 14th, and she's dateless. So she'll start to wear more makeup, dressing more nicely, and making mostly very awkward attempts to flirt with any guy who looks interesting - or interested! It's embarrassing, yes, but she's made her bet and she'll fulfill it! Even if it was really a stupid thing to let herself get goaded into.]

[Voice - morning of the 14th]

Does anyone have some advice on dyeing or restyling hair? I'm thinking about trying a bit of a new look, but I'm afraid I've not really done this much myself! [Have a slight nervous giggle here -- most of her own hair-cutting adventures have involved kunai and the heat of combat, after all.] Some help would really be appreciated.

((ooc: whether or not she actually dyes/cuts her hair is still TBD depending how threads play out!))
